VOICE, GAG & MUTE SYSTEM
We use a layered system so you can control who you hear, and admins can handle problem users when needed.
All commands below are typed in chat (press Y).
1) Gag vs Personal Mute (What’s the difference?)
- Gag (Admin action)
When an admin gags you, you may be blocked from:
- Text chat (
say)
- Team chat (
say_team)
- Voice comms (microphone)
Gags can be temporary or permanent and are enforced server-side. Only admins can remove a gag.
- Personal Mute (Your own list)
You build a private mute list by SteamID:
- Muted players are only muted for you (one-way mute).
- They can still hear you and everyone else.
- Your list is saved and works next time you join.
2) Personal Mute Commands (Per-Client)
- Mute player by name / #id / SteamID
/pmute <name | #id | STEAM_ID> — short: /m ...
Examples:
/pmute Wiggsplitter
/pmute #12 (scoreboard slot)
/pmute STEAM_0:1:1234567
- Mute by SteamID directly (offline/online)
/pmuteid STEAM_0:1:1234567
Works even if the player is not currently on the server.
- Unmute a player
/punmute <name | STEAM_ID> — short: /um ...
- Show your mute list
/pmutes or /ml
Shows all SteamIDs you have muted.
- Note: Personal mutes are one-way and per-client. You will not hear them, but they can still hear you.
3) Mute Menu (Optional UI)
- Open mute menu:
/mutemenu
Shows a list of current players; selecting a name toggles mute/unmute in your personal list.
- Bind to a key (example):
In console:
bind v "say /mutemenu"
Press V in-game to open the menu instantly.
4) Alive / Dead / Spec Voice Split (AllTalk_opt)
- Toggle for yourself:
/voicesplit (no arg toggles ON/OFF)
- Force ON/OFF:
/voicesplit on, /voicesplit off — or short: /vs on, /vs off
- Check status:
/voicestatus or /vstatus
Shows whether global alive/dead split is active (depends on player count) and whether you are opted in.
- Help:
/mutehelp
Prints a quick summary of voice-split and mute commands.
5) Quick Help In-Game
- Show your mute list:
/pmutes or /ml
- Open mute menu:
/mutemenu
- Voice & mute help:
/mutehelp
